RIPESS (Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of Social Solidarity Economy) is a global network dedicated to advancing the Social Solidarity Economy (SSE). It connects member networks from various regions, including Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, ensuring strong local and territorial engagement. The core mission of RIPESS is to promote SSE as an economic model that prioritizes people and the planet. The organization advocates for systemic change and fosters intercontinental cooperation to strengthen solidarity-based economic practices. Its activities include raising awareness, advocating for supportive public policies, and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). RIPESS also facilitates networking among its members, supports capacity building, and organizes annual strategic meetings to adapt its strategies to evolving contexts. RIPESS serves a diverse range of stakeholders, including national and sectoral SSE networks, social enterprises, policymakers, and associations focused on women's and minority issues. The organization is primarily funded by the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for Human Progress and receives public aid from the Catalan Government’s Development Cooperation Agency.
