The Riksbank is Sweden’s central bank and a public authority under the Riksdag (the Swedish parliament). The Riksbank is responsible for conducting Swedish monetary policy, with the objective of maintaining price stability. The bank is also entrusted with the task of promoting a safe and efficient payment mechanism. Our work is to be characterised by high quality and efficiency and our vision is to be “An innovative central bank with a high level of preparedness”. We must constantly stay updated and act upon developments in the world around us. This could mean anything from providing banks with money in a financial crisis to participating in international research projects. In other words, we undertake both assignments that require the ability to form opinions and take decisions rapidly, and assignments that require a great deal of reflection. This requires our members of staff to be motivated and committed, and to have the right skills for current and future working tasks. With us, you will have challenging and varied working tasks in an environment in which Sweden’s economic development is in focus. You will be surrounded by knowledgeable and committed people, both internally and as part of international networks and working groups. You will be able to make a meaningful contribution and the possibilities for continuing professional development in various areas are many.
