Who We Are and What We Do A visionary game development studio founded in 2012, Firesprite builds innovative showcase titles as part of the PlayStation Studios family. Firesprite’s core focus is developing creative, cutting-edge, and memorable experiences for players which surprise and delight. We create showcase games that take players on thrilling journeys, with memorable characters, and captivating narratives. Run!, The Playroom VR, Nightfall and The Persistence, to our most recent multi-award winning co-development title – Horizon Call of the Mountain; the Firesprite team is a talented, collaborative and friendly team of experienced professionals from a variety of backgrounds. In 2023, we were delighted to see our co-development title with the mighty Guerrilla, Horizon Call of the Mountain, win several industry awards and multiple prominent nominations. From a BAFTA nomination for Technical Achievement, to winning Best Visual Art and Best Technical Innovation at the Develop:Star Awards 2023, being named Best VR Game at the 41st Annual Golden Joystick Awards, Best Visual Design at the TIGA Awards, and best Immersive Reality Technical Achievement at the DICE Awards; our team strive to push technical boundaries to deliver unforgettable player experiences.
