Established in November 1977 as the sole professional body for the banking and financial services industry in Malaysia, AICB is governed by a Council comprising representatives from Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia), The Association of Banks in Malaysia, and the Malaysian Investment Banking Association. Our aim is to elevate professional and ethical standards in banking by creating a workforce with the highest standards of professional conduct, knowledge and competence. AICB is the only institute in Southeast Asia that is authorised by the Chartered Banker Institute, UK, to award the Chartered Banker status.
