Rare Diseases International (RDI) is a global alliance dedicated to representing individuals living with rare diseases and their families. With over 100 member organizations from 48 countries, RDI advocates for rare diseases as a public health priority and supports its members in enhancing their local, regional, and global efforts. The organization engages in various core activities, including advocacy to elevate rare diseases on international policy agendas and representation of patient groups on global health platforms. RDI also focuses on capacity building for its member organizations, helping them improve their advocacy and support capabilities. Additionally, RDI hosts the Alliance of Companies, which encourages corporate partners to contribute to the rare disease cause through networking and collaboration. Overall, RDI is committed to improving the lives of over 300 million people affected by rare diseases worldwide by fostering advocacy, representation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
