Founded in 1954, it encompasses over 770,000 companies, ranging from large multinationals to small and medium-sized enterprises. Collectively, these companies employ approximately 11.7 million people and generate an annual turnover of around €2,835 billion, contributing significantly to Europe's manufacturing sector. The organization advocates for its members' interests at the EU policy level, focusing on three main sectors: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, and metal technology. Orgalim engages in policy advocacy, supports partnerships among member companies, and provides legal publications to help navigate the European market. Its mission is to foster a sustainable future by promoting innovation and strengthening the global leadership of its members, while also contributing to the digital and green transformation of industry and society.
