CORRECTIV is the first non-profit investigative newsroom in Germany. We investigate social and economic grievances and abuse of power. Our award-winning journalists investigate issues that directly impact people in Germany and elsewhere, from rising rents on the housing market to the theft of billions of European taxpayers' money to a medical scandal involving fake cancer drugs. In addition, we offer training programs to promote media literacy as part of our educational mission. We also develop new tools for journalism such as our CrowdNewsroom, which allows newsrooms to engage their audience by investigating issues together. CORRECTIV is supported by private donors and grants from foundations and institutions. Thus, our journalism is not driven by quotas, advertising or politics, but oriented towards citizens instead.
