The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) is a regional economic development organization founded in 1989. It is dedicated to attracting and nurturing quality businesses in the Greater Phoenix area. GPEC collaborates with 22 member communities in Maricopa and Pinal counties, along with over 220 private investors, to enhance the regional economy. The organization has significantly contributed to economic growth by assisting more than 1,000 companies, creating nearly 190,000 jobs, and generating over $69 billion in capital investment. GPEC's mission is to establish Greater Phoenix as a prime location for business success. It offers various services, including advanced research and strategy support, connectivity with regional resources, and consultative advisement for companies looking to relocate or expand. GPEC also produces detailed reports on key sectors such as finance, aerospace and defense, and bioscience, providing valuable insights into local trends and opportunities.
