Hospital & Health Care

ACHS is an independent, not-for-profit healthcare accreditation organisation collaborating across the health sector in Australia and overseas. For 50 years, ACHS has developed performance standards for healthcare accreditation, as well as developing related quality improvement programs (including education activities), tailored for hospitals and a broad range of health care organisations. ACHS's key audiences include consumers, health care professionals, industry bodies and the broader community. ACHS launched the ACHS Improvement Academy in March 2016 to provide appropriate education that meets the needs of Australia's dynamic and complex health care environments. Since 1989, ACHS has been at the forefront internationally of clinical data collection with its Clinical Indicator Program, the only data collection of its kind in the world.
