The Computer Vision Center (CVC) is a non-profit research institution founded in 1995 through a partnership between the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Located on the UAB’s Bellaterra Campus in Barcelona, Spain, CVC is a prominent center for research, development, and training in computer vision, employing over 130 researchers and technicians. CVC specializes in various areas of computer vision technology, including autonomous driving, medical imaging, document analysis, human behavior analysis, and machine perception. The center emphasizes research and development collaboration, technology transfer, and training programs. Notable initiatives include AI4ALL, which provides entrepreneurial training for AI projects, and a Master in Computer Vision, a joint program with four Barcelona universities that covers machine vision, deep learning, and applied research. CVC collaborates with academic, industrial, and governmental partners, contributing to EU initiatives and advancing the field of computer vision.
