What does the future of humanity look like in the age of technology? What role does human input and feedback play to develop more capable AI systems, align AI with human values and reflect the diversity of knowledge and culture. As a Linux Foundation AI & Data nonprofit, we advocate for a more open and human-centric future for AI. We aim to: 1. Enable human input into AI through supporting open-source development, community building and research that adopts human data, tools, and decision making, for a more human-centric AI systems to emerge. 2. Empower people to better understand and shape technology as it becomes ever more embedded in their daily lives. 3. Advocate for open science and advance multidisciplinary perspectives in AI development bringing together cutting-edge AI research, social sciences, humanities, arts and design, data science and engineering disciplines through education and practice-based learning.
