On October 17, 1907, five young men in their twenties convened at the Correggi restaurant with a shared dream: to create a new sports club. That day marked the birth of one of Italy’s oldest football clubs, Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio. Named after a heroine from Greek mythology famed for her speed, Atalanta has been inextricably connected to the city of Bergamo ever since, proudly representing it on both the national and international stage. Within the annals of the club’s achievements stand the Coppa Italia of the 1962/63 season and the UEFA Europa League title won in the 2023/24 campaign. Renowned for its exceptional youth Academy, among the finest in Europe, Atalanta has also claimed three Primavera league titles and one Primavera Super Cup In recent years, the Club has written new pages in its epic. Driven by consistent growth on and off the pitch and the global evolution of its brand, Atalanta has emerged as a prominent force not only in Italian football but also in European competitions. Notably, Atalanta’s international odyssey in recent years includes five qualifications for the UEFA Champions League (highlighted by the historic achievement of reaching the quarterfinals in the 2019/20 season, the club’s finest accomplishment in the premier continental competition) and the triumphant conquest of the UEFA Europa League final in Dublin on May 22, 2024.
