The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is Israel's first university, formed in 1918 and opened in 1925. Today, there are over 23,000 students enrolled at the University, including undergraduates, master's degree students, and doctoral candidates. The university has four campuses: Mount Scopus, The Edmond J. Safra (Givat Ram) Campus, and Ein Kerem (in Jerusalem), and Rehovot.
