The UnTours Foundation is a public charity and 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides flexible, catalytic impact capital to small businesses building a more just, inclusive, and regenerative economy. Since 1992, we have invested more than $10 million into nearly 400 social enterprises across the United States and globally that are expanding economic opportunity, restoring ecosystems, and strengthening communities. Our work is powered by a unique business model. We are funded by the profits of UnTours, the world’s first Certified B Corporation, and we commit 100% of our endowment to mission-aligned investing so that every dollar we steward supports enterprises advancing social and environmental good. Today, we invest through our Reset Tourism Fund, which provides catalytic growth capital to locally rooted tourism businesses advancing sustainability, inclusion, cultural preservation, and community ownership across the global travel industry. We also invest through our Shifting the Paradigm Fund, which supports social enterprises in sectors such as sustainable food and agriculture, circular economy and waste reduction, fair trade supply chains, ethical fashion, and inclusive employment. Together with our fully mission-aligned endowment, these strategies show how foundations can align all assets with purpose while partnering with entrepreneurs and influencing the broader philanthropic sector to move more capital toward people and planet.
