The CIBERER is a cooperative network structure, with 60 research groups located in the main research centres all over Spain. These groups are structured into seven research programs, depending on their main lines of work, which means we can pool our efforts, optimise our resources and make the greatest use of the knowledge generated. Our research work, carried out through the cooperation of basic and clinical research groups, is intended to find out about the causes and alterations in biological mechanisms which generate Rare Diseases. The approach implemented in this work is designed to obtain an accurate and speedy diagnosis, apart from developing therapeutic solutions reaching the patients as soon as possible.
