The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association (KPBMA) is the largest organization representing the Korean pharmaceutical and biotech industry, with over 300 member companies. Established in 1945 under the authorization of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW), the association is dedicated to advancing national healthcare through the sustainable development of the pharmaceutical sector. KPBMA plays a pivotal role in industry advancement by invigorating R&D through open innovation, supporting policy improvements, expanding business into global markets, and contributing to healthcare promotion on an international scale. Our membership, which currently includes over 300 companies, comprises not only Korean pharmaceutical companies but also biotech firms specializing in digital therapeutics and artificial intelligence, as well as multinational pharmaceutical companies. Together with our member companies, we have formed 24 committees to discuss and make decisions on issues related to the pharmaceutical industry.
