中国农业大学作为教育部直属高校，是我国现代高等农业教育的起源地，其历史起自于1905年成立的京师大学堂农科大学。 历经百年世纪风雨，中国农业大学已经发展成为一所以农学、生命科学、农业工程和食品科学为特色和优势的研究型大学，形成了特色鲜明、优势互补的农业与生命科学、资源与环境科学、信息与计算机科学、农业工程与自动化科学、经济管理与社会科学等学科群。学校共设有18个学院、1个实体教学单位和1个直属系，涉及农学、工学、理学、经济学、管理学、法学、文学等7大学科门类。 Directly under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, China Agricultural University (CAU) is the origin of Chinese modern and advanced agricultural education, dated back to the Imperial Agricultural University in 1905. With the history of more than a century, CAU has developed into a research university featured by agricultural sciences, life sciences, agricultural engineering and food sciences. Distinctive and complementary disciplines have been formed in the fields of agricultural & life sciences, resources & environmental sciences, information & computer sciences, agricultural engineering & automation sciences, economic management & social sciences, etc. CAU has 18 colleges, 1 teaching entity and 1 directly affiliated department, covering 7 subject categories including Agronomy, Engineering, Science, Economics, Management, Law, and Art.
