El Real Betis Balompié fue fundado el 12 de septiembre de 1907 en Sevilla. Nace con el nombre de Sevilla Balompié (España Balompié durante los primeros meses) adquiriendo su actual denominación en 1914 tras la fusión con otra institución futbolística de la ciudad, el Betis Foot-ball Club, creado en 1909. El Real Betis Balompié juega sus partidos como equipo local en el Estadio Benito Villamarín, con capacidad para 60.721 espectadores, y cuenta con más de 85.000 socios. Además, tiene más de 590 peñas repartidas por todo el mundo. El club dispone de dos centros de entrenamiento, la Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol y la Ciudad Deportiva Rafael Gordillo, en la localidad de Dos Hermanas. El palmarés de la entidad incluye LaLiga de 1935 y tres Copas del Rey, correspondientes a las ediciones de 1977, 2005 y 2022. Con el paso de los años se ha convertido en un club multidisciplinar. Además, del equipo femenino, que milita en la Primera División Femenina, cuenta con equipo de fútbol sala, campeón de la Copa del Rey en 2024, y un equipo de remo. -- Real Betis Balompié was founded on September 12, 1907, in Seville. It was initially named Sevilla Balompié -Spain Balompie for the first few months- and acquired its current name in 1914 after merging with another football club in the city, Betis Foot-ball Club, which was established in 1909. Real Betis Balompié plays its home games at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, which has a capacity of 60,721 spectators and over 85,000 club members. Additionally, it has more than 590 fan clubs worldwide. The Club has two training centres: Luis del Sol Training Ground and the Rafael Gordillo Training Ground, located in Dos Hermanas. The club’s honors include the 1935 La Liga title and three Copa del Rey, won in 1977, 2005, and 2022. Over the years, it has become a multidisciplinary club. In addition to its women’s team, which competes in First Division, it also has a futsal team, which won the Copa del Rey in 2024, and a rowing team.
